PIG’S EAR 2025
What: Pig’s Ear is the festival of the East London & City
branch of CAMRA. The branch uses this to showcase East
London breweries and their cask ales.
Where: The festival will return to the Round Chapel, 1d
Glenarm Road, E5 0LY [at the junction with Lower Clapton
Road].
When: Tuesday 2nd to Saturday 6th December. Noon until
10:30pm Tues-Thurs, 11pm Fri and 9pm Sat.
Admission: CAMRA Members £3, or an £8 Season Ticket
Non-Members £5
Reduced admission Saturday – Members £1, Non-
Members £2
No U18’s. Assistance dogs only.
Beer: We order around 175 casks for the festival but only
have space to rack 100 of them at any one time. Once a
beer sells out, we replace it with a different beer as soon as
that beer is ready to be served. The casks on the right hand
end of the bar, marked with letters, are part of the
Champion Beer Of Britain competition and will go on sale
on the Thursday of the festival.
Glasses: We do not have a festival glass this year. We are
using old CAMRA stock – please return your glass after use.
We cannot offer a glass washing facility but you are
welcome to exchange your glass at any time.
Payment: Payment over the bar is by contactless card.
If you are unable to pay by card then you may
purchase a beer card on the glasses stand for cash only.
Food: Due to illness Wobbly Bottom are unable to cater the
festival. We are pleased to welcome Andhra Ruchulu as our
caterers this year.
Festival T-Shirt: We have a limited number in various sizes.
These are on sale for £13 cash. There is a picture on this
page. If you are interested in buying one then please email
the branch at: elacbranch@mail.com. You may reserve one
and pay for it at the festival.
Seating: The limited seating on the ground floor is
prioritised for customers with mobility issues. There is
plenty of seating upstairs. We cannot put extra seating
downstairs as this will decrease the number of people we
can safely get in the hall.
The first festival in 1982.
