Pub news here is downloaded every issue, from London Drinker’s Capital Pub Check (CPC) currently 221 into the
Latest Information file along with any other information I have been given. Twice yearly these are merged into the Updates file and the
Online Beer Guide. Online guides are now a feature of lots of CAMRA local websites so to find out which do go to this page in the
HQ site. A list of London Breweries has been compiled by East London member Stephen Harris,
take a butchers here.
List of pubs? Rather than use the online beer guide you may wish a list of pubs (why?) See this
file for such a list where pub names in CAPITALS indicate they serve real ale according to our
database but bars in the main have been ignored. Pubs in lower case should have a comment on
them. A list of pubs and bars has been compiled by John Adams. Updated to April 2011. There are
three lists:– Central, East and Essex.

Google Map. I did try to add a Google map section to the guide but it took too long to download
so it’s here.

Have a digital camera? Do you think you can photograph pubs? It has been
25 years since we last photographed all our pubs. A dozen or so of us set out
with maps and pub lists to obtain a photographic record in glorius
black and white. Now is as good a time to do it again, this time in
technicolour. Here is a spreadsheet for you to download, enter your
name and an expected completion date against the pub or pubs you
wish to photograph and email them back to me with the word
photograph in the subject box and rename the picture “postarea and pub.jpg,
e.g. e1alma.jpg. If you don’t have a spreadsheet then look at this htm file and
email me and I will update the file so that we are not all photographing the same pub! You will notice a “status” column and it is up to you if
you want to photo the site of former pubs. Beware that if you are to photograph City pubs you may need a wideangle lens of about 33mm
or below and that it would best be done at weekends when there are fewer people and traffic to mar the picture. Mobile phones may not
be suitable to provide printable pictures. Set your camera to maximum quality. See some pubs here. If you fancy helping to do E6 or E7
contact David French. Thanks the Matt Clack who has volunteered to photograph Homerton. See the spreadsheet, can you help? I have
to say that some promises to help have not been fulfilled.
